The LEGO Ideas 21358 Minifigure Vending Machine is a fully functional, retro-style capsule vending machine built from 1,343 LEGO pieces. Insert a LEGO coin element in the slot, turn the handle and it releases one of 16 capsules, each holding the elements to build a collectable minifigure. The handle even clicks as it turns, just like the real thing. Based on fan designer Rob Vangansewinkel's Minifigure Prize Machine, it is part of the LEGO Ideas range, where sets begin as fan designs voted for by the LEGO community.

It is an absorbing build for adults, using clever building techniques to recreate both the look and the mechanism of a classic vending machine. Once finished, it makes a nostalgic display piece for a shelf, desk or office. The 16 minifigures are exclusive to this set and pay tribute to classic LEGO themes such as Castle, Paradisa and Fabuland, plus space explorers and a minifigure of the fan designer, so it suits adult fans, minifigure collectors and anyone looking for a retro-themed gift.
