LEGO Technic 42182 NASA Apollo Lunar Roving Vehicle - LRV

The LEGO Technic 42182 NASA Apollo Lunar Roving Vehicle - LRV is a detailed adult model of the lunar rover carried to the Moon by Apollo 17.

Unfold the rover, then test its steering and suspension as you imagine moonwalks and sample collecting. Three attachable equipment sets add authenticity, including a battery pack with heating and cooling elements, a TV camera with antennae, a communications unit and tools such as a shovel and drill.

History fans will appreciate the extra touches: the Traverse Gravimeter Experiment carried on Apollo 17, moon rock elements, and a tribute to Big Muley, the largest rock sample brought back to Earth by the Apollo programme.

With 1,913 pieces, it is an immersive building project that rewards patience, and the finished model makes a dramatic display piece for a study, office or living room. It is a superb gift for anyone fascinated by space exploration, engineering or the golden era of the Space Race. The model folds up much like the real rover did for its journey to the Moon.

Released in 2024, the Lunar Roving Vehicle has now been retired by LEGO, and it remains one of the standout space models in the Technic range.
